1. While the dress was disappointing in person (weird length, weird material), I did walk away with one of my favorite, overpriced yet worth every penny candles and some mugs that cause no confusion about who should clean what...
2. The Boy got back in the pool this week after a 8 month layoff. He even joined me this morning and was promptly lapping me, while doing backstroke. Major ego boost.
3. I have contemplated re-reading The Hunger Games, but based on my Kindle's always spot-on recommendations, I started The Maze Runner series last night and am already hooked.
4. This morning, I was about a milisecond from being broadsided by an idiot running at stop sign at a 4-way stop, going at least 30+ mph. Last week, the accident happened at less than 5mph and made me more mad than anything. This scared the HELL out of me. My heart rate shot through the (sun)roof, and at the next intersection, the dude was yelling AT ME through his window. Sorry buddy, you lose at life.
5. Next week, I am going to NYC for a few meetings. I clearly scheduled the days around training (1 yoga class, 1 swim while in the city) and drinking (happy hour with my work team before my flight back to DC). Priorities.
6. Make-up beyond mascara has become completely optional.
7. Bagels make me happy.
8. Bagels with butter > bagels with PB > bagels with cream cheese.
9. Note to Self: Writing 10-15 post-it notes reminding yourself to do things doesn't actually lead to work being done.
10. I have been drinking Mint Tea instead of coffee at work the past few weeks (Mint, NOT peppermint...totally different). It's fantastic and although I made the switch bc I thought it was caffeine free, it's most definitely NOT.
11. I want to do something fun and not typical for Valentine's Day this year. I think we may both have the day off from work, so I'm thinking of a day trip to hike Old Rag. Silly idea in the cold?
Happy Almost-Weekend.

ReplyDeletehunger games series is still my favorite, but Maze Runner is a close second. And as much as I liked Maze Runner, the series only get better! Enjoy!
