I have started to plan my race schedule for next year. I am still staying a bit mum on my IM race plans as it is not final yet, but I am laying out my year as if it's final (I'll give you a hint that will clearly narrow it down to 3: August). I have two major work trips in the planning stages that will keep any schedule from being 'final' until they are decided upon.
After my experience with Set Up events and the end of this season, I was excited to plan my schedule almost exclusively around the Virginia Tri Series, however work and personal conflicts aren't letting that happen. Also, the only July 70.3 I can seem to find is Rhode Island - does anyone have any other ideas??
The only thing that is final is that that National Half Marathon (Rock and Roll...whatever) will be an A race and my sole focus from now through March. Which may include lots and lots of treadmill miles during a Africa trip that is slowly turning into all of February.

national half, hooray! that's one of my favorite races!
ReplyDeleteIn addition to bike training, we should run together before the RnR half, also my spring A race :)
ReplyDeleteI did the Musselman 70.3 (NY) in July -- it's a fantastic race but was painfully, brutally hot. Though unless you're racing in...uh...I don't know where, it was hot everywhere this year.
