I just got 6 shots- three in each arm. I can't even list them all, and still have two oral vaccines to do before I leave. Oh and 30 malaria pills to take, which I may or may not do, depending on the final plans for India travelling after the conference. But at least now I can eat whatever I want in India and not worry too much (thanks to
Typhoid oral vaccine). That is the one I had never had and really wanted. The doctor also
recommended Japanese Encephalitis which I thought was strange, but I wasn't going to argue. Also got a prescription for Cipro in case I have any, ahem, 'tummy' troubles, if you will, while i am gone.
I walked home from the doctor to get in my 30 minutes today, but I am wiped out.
Also treated myself to a little retail therapy on the walk home:

...Just ordered a pizza and am going to sit on the couch for the rest of the weekend. Can't wait. Here's to hoping I don't get sick from the shots that are supposed to keep me healthy.
Are you taking Motrin? I give my kids Motrin for 24 hrs after they get shots and they've never had a reaction.
ReplyDeleteAlso, go for the Malaria shot--I know someone who got it when they were in the Peace Corps. Malaria is a life time thing. Get any and every vax they reccomend. Shots are so much better than being sick.
Ps. Cute clothes. I like the last dress best.
Dress is on sale- Anthropologie! That store is one of my major weaknesses, however I am good to sticking to the sale rack
