I'm usually all about every bathing suit J.Crew has ever designed...however, I honestly can't wrap my head around this:
(Clearly, I am shopping for new bikinis for my 10-day training camp in Florida in March. Triathlon and biking clothes? Eh, not that important).
OK, seriously, I am done for the day :)

Choices.
I really want to race at a certain weight this year, which I am not too far from. And I have a couple other things in the works (read: photoshoot. in a....bathing.suit. for a really really large, popular magazine...) that one would think would help motivate me to make healthy choices.
But I continue to make these kinds of choices:
Pre-Run Breakfast #1, 6AM- Banana, Water
Breakfast #2, 8AM - Almonds, Banana, Coffee, Water
Breakfast #3, 10:30AM - Err...,not so much.....

NYC Love
The first two buildings I lived in in New York had coin laundry in the building. Finding time and change to do a few loads a week was never a problem.
With my most recent move, I am now in a building sans laundry. The first few months, I was good about keeping up with a once-weekly laundromat visit - there is one only about a block and a half away. But, I'm lazy. And busy. And really, the last thing I want to do on the weekend is spend a few hours in the laundry mat. So I finally caved recently and began to do the 'drop-off'.
I'm not sure if this exists anywhere else in the world, but in New York, there are about 2-4 cleaners on each block that you can pay, per pound, to wash and fold your clothes. I was a bit skeptical at first, however once I learned the 'system' I am a total believer - and it actually ends up not being that much more $$ than the laundromat.
The tricks:
1. Pick one cleaner, get to know them. They will remember and recognize you - it makes a difference.
2. Use your own detergent. I bought a good smelling and trusted detergent and keep it at the cleaners, and now that they know me (see #1), they use my detergent, so my laundry comes back to me smelling lavender-fields fresh.
3. They don't have to dry everything. This was my major hang up about someone else doing my laundry- I don't dry my delicates and most of my workout gear. So I figured I would have to keep going to the laundromat to do these pieces. NOPE! I just put them in a separate bag and when I pick my stuff up, my workout gear, bras and sweaters are on hangers, waiting for me.
But the BEST part about this system??? How lovely and wonderfully perfect your clothes are folded- even your socks and underwears :)

Shopping kind of mood...
Today I am in a shopping kind of mood. My wish list includes:

Tights that make my knee feel good and trick my aching legs into running...

Beautiful and lovely shoes that let me forget that I no longer wear heels due to my triathlon 'habit'.
...Too bad (good?) I will go straight from work to the gym to my couch for the rest of the night.
Ellington anything - namely this new bag.
Cute dresses that remind me spring is never far away

Following the plan.
I have been following the plan since January 4. Letting someone else take over the thinking part, all I have to do is 'DO' - it's refreshing. When it comes to both the healing and the training.
No matter how much I have wanted to run, for two weeks, the plan called for no more than 15-20 minute runs. I listened, and amazingly, the knee is holding up and I am seeing longer runs this week.
Last night was yoga. 'Power Vinyasa' should have been called 'Let's see how long you can balance on one leg before your hip flexor buckles' (then let's do it on the other side).
It was great.
