I have made plans to visit LA in December and the weekend that worked best was also one of the Xterra SoCal Series trail runs (Crystal Cove). The plan was to do it with a good friend and her mom (and they are responsible and signed up promptly), but alas, went to register last night and it is SOLD OUT!! I just wrote a 'woe is me' email to the race director hoping he takes pity or that there is at least a wait list.
I was so excited :( And I have been dying for an excuse to finally get these trails shoes I have been lusting over forever!!
Head back to NYC tonight, hoping to kick the end of this cold before I am off again for wedding fun in London and then straight back to Zambia for work goodness.
Oh, that's a bummer. I had no idea those races filled up - esp. this far in advance. I hope your sob story works!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that course - i doubt you would NEED trail shoes, but they would probably be somewhat more comfortable on the bottoms of your feet (against rocks). Also, the Cascadias are awesome shoes and it's fun to have new running shoes!
