A Hidden Gem...

This is my third summer living in NYC. Since I moved, I have heard about this elusive 48-yard outdoor pool that has free lap swim hours in the AM and PM. I have had friends go, but had never motivated (not super close to where I live, but very close to work...). I also had my gym, which has a pool and is way closer to home and more convenient.

Well, a few weeks ago, I quit the gym. Could no longer justify paying to go maybe 1-2/per week. And really, the only thing I thought I would miss was the pool. This morning, I finally motivated to swim at the outdoor pool and am SO happy I did. I was greeted by the sun rising over this:


I've only swam longcourse a handful of times since college, and I just LOVE it. The time and distance goes by so much faster. I think this pool is going to be a very good thing for me. Oh, and now I just need to get a new training bikini, of course....
