Happy Summer!

What a perfect first day of summer! Rode out to Nyack- realized it had been quite a long time since I have ridden long and it felt GREAT! Slept in a bit and didn't get on the road until 10am, but it wasn't too hot and was nice to get a few extra hours of sleep (especially after the pitcher(s) of sangria last night).

Nyack, the cute little town right on the Hudson where many people from NYC venture for the long ride on the weekend, is a bit less crazy when you go later in the morning, so that was good. On nice summer mornings it is literally like a cycling convention and the line goes out the door. Did a few pick ups on the way home and overall felt really good and strong.

Here's a camera phone photo as I rode over the George Washington Bridge.

And looking south over the city from the Bridge. Zoomed in so the quality got ruined (it was also a bit hazy)

More from the next ride as I have finally figured out how to get pics off my phone.
