I'm a graphing nerd.

In prep for NYC2008, September 2008 was my biggest month of mileage. Looking back, clearly not enough to get me to reach my goals in the marathon.

Nearly half that running was long, slow distance, including two 18-milers.

6 months later, my approach to running has changed significantly, with an emphasis on frequency and now knowing what it takes to reach my goals in the marathon.

This month, I ran the same amount as Sept 2008, but with no run longer than 11 miles.

As a numbers person, it's nice to have a visual of my progress and I can't wait to race the Brooklyn Half in one month, and for official marathon training to start in a few months.
